Day of Praise

Fri, 07/07/17, "Day of Praise" 

"Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up." - Proverbs 12:25 

Father in heaven, for Jesus's sake, give us glad and cheerful hearts this day so that we can enjoy sweet fellowship with you and your people. And yet we also pray for those whose hearts are weighed down and who need your strong and gracious hand. Grant to us, O Lord, a depth of compassion and a heart overflowing with cheer and kindness so that we may be eager and able to speak in love and lighten the load for those people whose hearts are weighed down. All this we ask in the name of your dear Son, Jesus, whose death on the cross made a way for all our hearts to be gladdened and renewed. So please, Lord, stir our hearts to receive your Son in faith anew this day so that Jesus would be our strength and our cheer and Holy Spirit would be our guide, always leading us to you and your people in need. Amen. 

May God bless you all to have and to share a day full of cheer and gladness with the Lord.
