Thank you all for your sense of humor with the first Day of Praise sent this morning. One person already responded this morning, saying, "PS thanks for the smile this morning. I needed it. I don't know if it was intentional or not. Just think what the disciples could have done if they had Iphones or emails"
Here's the corrected version:
Mon, 07/06/15, "Day of Praise"
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses" (Acts 1:8).
Anyone who has faith in Jesus is someone who has meaning and purpose in life forever. We are needed. We have something of eternal importance to share. And people are counting on us to share it. In fact, Jesus is counting on us to share with others that it means the world to us that Jesus died for our sins. Jesus is counting on us "to be his witnesses" (Acts 1:8).
Now if we could just convince ourselves...that witnessing is not hard and embarrassing. Instead witnessing, according to God in today's verse, is fueled by the Holy Spirit. And witnessing about Christ is the greatest glory that one can be associated with.
Anyone who has faith in Jesus is someone who has meaning and purpose in life forever. We are needed. We have something of eternal importance to share. And people are counting on us to share it. In fact, Jesus is counting on us to share with others that it means the world to us that Jesus died for our sins.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses" (Acts 1:8).
Praise God!
