Sat, 01/07/17, "Day of Praise"
We got home late last night from an amazing Prayer Summit, which was the first one at our church. Though many were hindered from attending because of the weather, you could really feel everyone's prayers who stopped to pray together wherever they were at the beginning of the Summit at 7 p.m. last night, and you could really feel the powerful and warm blanketing of the Living God even though it was icy cold outside. We'll have another Prayer Summit at our church on Friday, February 3 from 7-9 p.m. for all ages, in addition to Pray for Our City at various city parks on January 14th (9 am), 15th (1pm), and 16th (9am). Our monthly Healing service is tomorrow at 5 pm; our weekly prayer gathering is Friday's at 8:30 am; and our daily encouragement to stop and pray is at 3:33 pm.
Here's today's short verse. As many of you have started to meditate on scripture, this is a good verse to mull over repeatedly through every day.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13
Look for him. Listen for him. Trust him. Christ will be your strength.
May God bless you today!
Praise God!
Pastor Chris
"The gospel is the story of Jesus [what God's only Son has done for us that we can't do for ourselves], spoken as a promise." - Robert Jenson
