Day of Praise

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds" - Hebrews 10:24

We say it all the time, "Have a good day!" And I'm sure we all mean it. But God's word today tells us that saying it and even meaning it are not enough.

God wants us to think about how we can help to make it happen. How can we help the person in front of us to have a good day?

Imagine if God had looked at us from heaven and said, "I hope y'all have a good day. And I hope that Savior thing works out." Can you imagine if God had only said it, even if he meant it, and then didn't do anything to help make it happen?

But God did think about it and then made it happen. God sent the Savior. And then God acted on the "good day" thing by sending the Holy Spirit so that everyday could be a good day for those who believe and live in Christ.

Oh yeah, that same Holy Spirit will be our strength and guide so we actually can "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds" (Hebrews 10:24).

So, have a good day!

And I have a feeling it's gonna be because there's a whole bunch of us that are heading out into it and considering how we're actually gonna make it better for you!
